Happy Birthday Sebastian!!!

The little man turned three years old today! One of his favorite things is balloons so we had to have lots of them. And he blew his candles out for the first time! He was a little shocked when he walked in the door and we started singing "happy Birthday" to him but he quickly overcame his shock and dove right into the cake.

Here is Sebastian talking very convincingly... although no one but him knows what he's saying. He's around 18 months here. He's looking at the monitor on the video camera as he's talking. His sister is making funny noises at the end.

Like peas in a pod, Mommy and the Gerbil carry on in true Kane style with lots of giggles and squeaks. The young one is currently practicing his "flying gerbil" act and hopes to take his show on the road very soon.

Sitting tall in his high chair, Sebastian takes a break from his "shreeking gerbil" routine. His decibel levels exceed any recorded in the wild from a Gerbil of this particular species.

Sebastian has finally had his first "day at the beach"... He was quite the VIP to have his first ever tootsies in the sand experience at one of the greatest beaches in the world -- Waikiki!

Here Sebastian gets a little help from Mommy over the hot sand.

One final request after a hot day at the beach... MORE MILK PLEASE!!!

Finally a picture update! Sebastian has been growing by leaps and bounds and is over 7 pounds now! He eats all the time and has been trying out his new ability to grin.

Isn't he cute?!

The next picture here is of Sebastian with his sister Marley and Santa Claus. You can see more about Marley on her blog "Marley Jane's Brain", a brand new endeavor (can't have one for one kid and not for the other!!!)

Anyway, Sebby's first Xmas was great and although he was actually crying in his pic with Santa he looks like he's having a good old time.

Fresh from a bath Sebastian enjoys a quiet moment with mom.

Amazingly, he slept for almost a full four hours straight last night!!! That's great news since I have to go back to work on Monday. I can live on that... 2 hours was getting a bit rough.

And here he is thinking about his next investment strategy... or is it perhaps his next diaper change?

Sebastian arrived October 30, 2005 at 7:07 p.m. Hawaii time.
He weighed 4 lbs. 12.3 oz and was 17 inches long.
